PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) — Disappointed Steelers fans filed out of area bars and restaurants following the end of Super Bowl XLV.

The black and gold faithful were saddened after the team’s 31-25 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Cowboys Stadium in Texas.

Police remain out in force across the city late tonight though.

They are trying to prevent a recurrence of the rioting and fire setting that happened after the Steelers Super Bowl win two years ago.

However, it appears the loss has taken most of the steam out of the crowd.

In Oakland, it appears the crowds are staying well-behaved and there were no confrontations with police as people walked back to their dorms and apartments.

Patrons at Peters’ Pub and other bars near the University of Pittsburgh campus mostly walked out quietly although some could be heard cursing the Steelers fate.

There are reports that one couch was set on fire in Oakland, but fire crews responded quickly to the scene.

So far, there is no word on if there have been any arrests.
